The Tiger Paw System II is a medical staple that is used in atrial fibrillation patients to prevent strokes and close the left atrial appendage, or LAA. This device is made by Laax, Inc. and was approved by the FDA in 2010.

Unfortunately, the device does not work as promised and often doesn’t completely close resulting in serious adverse effects, including:
